Gulfport was first named Disston City in 1884. It was changed to Veteran City in 1890, and eventually to Gulfport in 1910. This sleepy seaside city is a celebration of ‘Old Florida,’ with a variety of property styles from communities of sweet little cottages to oak-lined neighborhoods and brick-paved streets. The city features an enormous fishing pier named Williams Pier, on Boca Ciega Bay, and you can travel around by trolley bus, for free, to see all the sights. Downtown Gulfport on weekends Rocks!
Gulfport offers a great selection of Waterfront and Non-Waterfront Cribs in almost any living style. ≈$$$$≈
BELIEVE IT OR NOT
Gulfport is believed to be the location where the famous "Greek Salad" was invented. That's a salad with Potatoes & Zorba on the top!
